Intelsat 20 is a geostationary communications satellite which is to be operated by Intelsat. It is currently being constructed by Space Systems Loral, and is based on the LS-1300 satellite bus.[1] It will be launched in the second quarter of 2012,[2] and will replace the Intelsat 7 and Intelsat 10 spacecraft at 68.5º East longitude.

Intelsat 20 will carry 28 IEEE C-band (NATO G/H-band), and IEEE Ku band (NATO J-band) transponders. The C-band payload will cover the Asia-Pacific region, while the Ku band transponders will be used for Direct to Home broadcasting to Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
